Do you use interactive notebooks?

I use them with my second graders and they serve as great springboards for lessons. Plus, I love that I can show that I actually taught a standard by looking what the students have done in the books.

Last year...

I did one for my son where he had to perform a task to get a new clue. He showered, made his bed, set the table for breakfast, etc. It was pure genius!

the snap/slider pencil boxes. I've been waiting for them to go on sale. Walmart has them for 50 cents, but Office Depot usually has them for a penny, but I haven't see them for that yet.

My mom is making anchor charts for me. She's doing a noun one. She said that she's seen them where a noun is a person, place, thing or animal. I've never included animal, although I agree it's not...
