In my district, we did have 5 cases of Swine Flu and we didn"t close. Not even the school that had the kids! And...Rhode Island won't even make us make up the days. I thought that was strange.

I agree with Enlighten. Call Human Resources or your Union Rep. In my system, that cannot be done. Perhaps the teacher is a little vindicive?
