But it also depends on the district. Mine is pretty desperate for teachers / people in general so they'll hire anyone...

Yes, I've heard this is a new thing now!
When a child acts up, leave them in the room and take the rest of the class out. It's definitely unfair and sometimes, the child will destroy the room.
