Magnets

If the boards accept magnets I'd probably use business card magnets. They're easy to cut and lay flatter than magnetic tape. They also make it easier to reposition items than an adhesive.

Mavalus Tape

You could probably try Mavalus Tape. It holds well and in my experience doesn't leave a residue. The Mavalus company also makes something called Snazzy Tape that has great patterns but I don't know...

I have to agree with both varkgirl and capentights. The sharpener from Classroom Friendly Supplies is great. The only problem I have is that it would take a long time for me to sharpen 75 pencils...
