When I want something salty and crunchy, I do popcorn in the microwave. Very simple, I put 1/2 cup organic popcorn kernels in a Pirex bowl covered with glass lid or plate, and heat for 2-4 minutes,...

We buy half the toilet paper we used to. I grew up in a place where a bidet was part of the bathroom routine. Early in the pandemic a friend told me about her simple and inexpensive bidet mechanism...

Is your husband working from home? Is he a teacher?
If he is not a teacher, he may not be aware how much work teachers do and how mentally draining it can be. It took me two years to find my groove...

I feel the same, and it may not be a popular position.
I have set up my finances so I (hopefully) won't be a burden to my DDs and DS. That's the best I can do. I have worked hard and sacrificed...

stockpiling food

My Mormon cousin stockpiles for a year. Many Mormons have a special pantry/storage area for this purpose, as it is part of their philosophy to be ready for any occasion.

I am in earthquake country...

If your air pads are new, it is quite possible that they have a higher R-rating than what mine had. The higher the R-rating, the better. Also, I'd only be concerned if the temperature drops below 35...

Also, if you are tent camping, make sure you have some nice thick pads, not the blow-up kind that deflates the colder it gets. You don't want to end up on the hard ground feeling every little twig...

financial advice

I agree. A fiduciary financial advisor is legally required to act in your best interest. It won't hurt to visit with one who understands all the ins and outs in your state, and who can give you...
