We are currently in week 6 of high school. I put my students in a seating arrangement on Day 2 (so I can learn their names). As I learn their names, I move students around, but they still have...

Painting bulletin boards

Has anyone ever painted their bulletin boards? Our boards are extremely large and a dull beige color. The room I am moving into this year also has student graffiti on the board (in small areas, but...

Transfer

After reading your post, I believe your second sentence speaks volumes! There are no perfect administrators. If you fear retaliation because you want a shorter commute or a subject that makes you...

No diagnosis

Thanks Zia for raising your question. I have not seen any type of paperwork stating anything about a problem with this child. No IEP. No 504.

Thanks for the replies so far. There is another issue...the mom wants me to return the papers to her instead of faxing or mailing them. She did not provide the return envelope (as it states on the...

Good for you to finally see this! I'm sorry it took 16 years. Teachers get sucked into working long hours because it becomes "the norm" and often expected. I was one of the ones who was sucked...
