There's probably more

A child of depression era parents. We found money hidden in books, tucked behind picture frames, underneath lamps.
A total understandable mistrust of financial institutions.

Another backup plan?

If things get delayed, you could pay for storage and stay at a hotel or with a friend.

I would pay for the extra month of rent because I would want to derp clean the house, or paint, or something.

Definitely ask!!

The worst you'll get is a no.

I just bought some

Around me, Target seems to be the cheapest at 50 cents each. I also used Target's 15% off teacher coupon.

I never pay more than 50 cents, and almost never find them cheaper.

Takes one kid to pee or spill.

And I wouldn't be able to use "this is a classroom, not a living room."

I wouldn't set up my class that way.

I do like it

But it will most likely come across to some as snarky.

I try to keep sarcasm out of my classroom.

But that's why I went into teaching, too!

Doesn't hurt

Occassionally a lead would pull, but hardly ever. I remember the glue coming out easily.

We don't get our state scores until the start of the next school year.

I have seen groups of kids deliberately decide to fail a particular class, or make a teacher's life hell, or finished the...
