Of course!

If you can use them in Kindergarten (which I did), you can use them in 3rd grade for sure!! White boards are wonderful - they have so many uses across all content areas.

Certainly, it would work in Kindergarten! Having taught Kdg., I can attest to the fact that they take to the idea very well. Kids that age have so little control over anything that happens to them....
