Same as 1956BD.

I don't buy boiled eggs, nor usually pre-cut fruit/veggies. Occasionally, I will purchase cut up fresh pineapple, but rarely. I don't buy much meat because we often buy it locally from farmers. I do...

I never ate Lasagna as a child.

My mom never made it, nor did my grandma. The only spaghetti we ever had was Kraft spaghetti dinner from a box. I think my mom still makes it to this day.<!--giggle-->

So glad you were able to get a shot today! I have retired, so I will not be at risk from going to school to teach. I have been staying at home as much as possible except for important errands. My...

I remember.

I was pretty young at that time. I had cousins who were in the service at that time and some whose parents were also in the military. I don't know if any of them had a bracelet or not. An older...

I agree with Amiga.

I have learned many useful & practical ideas from members here. I have tried many a recipe someone suggested. I have gotten helpful technology advice a few times when I was baffled....

I think I might give my doctor's office a

call & speak with the nurse. It's probably nothing, but you should check it out. It might be as simple as muscle spasms. However, I am always cautious because Ovarian Cancer is so difficult to detect...

Are you currently employed

by a public school? Our district used to have a fund set up to help with the graduated school costs. You had to be a full time teacher (May have been a minimum time of employment before you could...

I am so sorry this happened.

It sounds like a miserable experience. I have occasionally gotten a huge bruise from the rubber tubing they often use as a tourniquet, or from leak back when I have gotten an IV in the hospital. Once...

I have read several.

I enjoyed them overall. Intriguing romantic story lines. Interesting characters. Slightly silly & inauthentic for the historical period, but it's fiction so anything goes. I prefer fiction to be...

It seems tacky to me, but I know times change

When I was getting married, usually the bridesmaids or rarely the beloved aunt or possibly cousins could give a shower for the bride if the guests were mostly going to be family members or very close...

I send mine most of the time now because he has retired in the past year. He has always liked to go places more than I do. I always feel like I spend way too much money, get things that are not good...

I vaguely remember.

I remember the high school gym & the sugar cube. It was before I started school. I only recall going once, but if it had to be given twice I am sure we did. My parents were terrified that one of us...

If your eyes are really red...

you might have pink eye. If it's a sinus pressure headache, try a heating pad or a warm compress. Put a wet washcloth in the microwave and heat it for 20 seconds. See if this relieves the discomfort....

I am so sorry this happened.

I can relate because I once pulled a muscle in my neck while flipping my hair out of my eyes during my shower! It really HURT. There was a sharp snap. It was miserable for the rest of the day & was...

Is it on the non-dominant shoulder?

I have it often, but I think it's due to carrying everything on my left shoulder for so many years--purse, bookbags, lunchbox--and seldom switching to the right one because I am right handed and...

I am usually not

happy with a tv series that is made from a good book/series. There are often way too many changes made from the original or the actors are terrible (ex. Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher--seriously?!) I did...

You could.

However, you may want to consider that these drives do occasionally fail. Also, as technology changes they may not be nearly so useful in the future. Think about the photo CDs people used to use as...

Driving Questions

My mother learned to drive when she was young. I think my dad and maybe her brother/cousins taught her? We only had one car for a long time when I was a child, so she didn't drive very often. My dad...

Such a great idea to pass this legislation!

No female should have to miss school because of a menstrual cycle in this day & age. Although I realize it can be a problem in many places, it should not be. This legislation will benefit so many...
