Mine was about $600 in 2006. David's bridal is the way to go if you don't care about wearing a "designer" gown. There was no way I was spending $1000's on a wedding dress :) And I still love mine!

Hypothetically speaking, they already know nouns, verbs, pronouns, adjectives, and some adverbs and prepositions. In seventh grade I try to take each to a new level - eg, abstract nouns, pronouns...

I didn't assign a book -

but I did give them a final project. It isn't due until a week after they return, of course :) BUT - they have the option to finish it over break for bonus points...that seemed to go over pretty...

I agree with TeacherVegas. Please, don't EVER give homework as punishment. It sends the wrong message to students. Instead of punishing - why not positive reinforcement? Candy, minutes to talk, or...
