Expressing concerns via email

I would hope that you aren’t the only teacher to ask questions. If you have a union I’d expect they, too, would have raised many questions. I, myself, would most definitely send the questions and I’d...

I would go

If there were no pandemic, I think I would go to the wedding since it is intended to be a 'once in a lifetime' occasion. Birthdays and anniversaries are celebrated every year.

Letter writing

Based on the many heart-felt posts I've read here from so many teachers, this reminds me of how powerful and informative a letter writing campaign could be. Many teachers, here on PT, have already...

I'm sorry you are feeling so stressed and unsettled, but there are valid reasons for such uncertainty. At this point in time we are surrounded by so many unknowns in terms of the political landscape,...

I tried the sticky notes, but it got to be too cumbersome. I think it was in an AVID training where i heard about two and three-column notes. Years prior, I had originally used two-column notes as a...

50 years old

Just off the top of my head, maybe you can have a 'scavenger hunt of the hour' type of activity. OR if you don't want to take time to write up a bunch card and hide a variety of objects, you can just...

Postcard exchange

We had fun with several postcard exchanges many years ago. I was teaching in a low-income area, so I basically funded the whole thing on my own. To buy real postcards turned out to be quite...

Hits home

What sadness! I'm so sorry!

Serves to remind us that the deaths we've heard as mere statistics are not just numbers but individual people who loved and were loved by others.
