Ours are more on a consult basis

They support the teacher by giving advice and suggestions. They do not prep materials or spend any time with students (unless it's to observe the student).

Money is a problem as well.

Since most adults use debit cards now, and little actual cash is used, students are losing this skill as well. I have 3rd graders who don't know the coin value of dimes or quarters.

I had a prince who wanted us to "Keep each other accountable" and I did not agree with that at all. We are colleagues. They are admin. It's their job to do the accountability part.
