I would not leave your current position. The health insurance and other benefits are better in a public school system than in a private one.

My Retirement

Iím on vacation at the beach. It is nice not to have to return to teaching in a few weeks. Instruction will be online until January, and the thought of teaching virtually does not sound appealing.

I’ve used an Adidas one made from wicking material. It is just OK. I prefer the disposable ones. They are light and don’t get wet or heavy.

Naps

I've always taken naps. Now that I'm retired I often take a 45-60 minute one in the afternoon. I'm on a medication that can cause drowsiness, so that might contribute to the somewhat long naps.

I felt it in August when teachers had to report back for preservice days before kids arrived. It was wonderful not to be stressed about going back to school and knowing that I could choose how to...
