This kid wouldn't qualify in my district because there would be no need for services since they are in their least restrictive environment already. The same would be said for the whole state since...

almond milk and upset tummy

I looked and it doesn't have carrageenan in it. Maybe it wasn't even the almond milk that upset my stomach, but it was just a pattern that I noticed.

almond milk and upset tummy

It could be the additives. I have no problem with regular milk, but I just thought that it might be the almond milk since that is the only thing that I have added to my diet recently. Most people...

Almond milk and an upset tummy

I tried some sweetened almond milk a while ago and it seemed to upset my stomach/digestive system a little. I recently tried some unsweetened almond milk and it seemed to happen again. Does anyone...

I have not had any problem opening up Microsoft Word on my MacBook's Open Office. I don't know about other mac products, but most don't have USB ports now and the MacBook Air I purchased was the last...

power outages

cvt, I was reading that many people with electric cars are wondering how they will charge their vehicles if the power goes out. You're right, this IS going to put a heavy burden on the economy.

power outages

This really upsets me. Customers have been paying crazy rates for a long time and I don't think it's too much to expect that PG&E maintain their lines and make sure vegetation is cut back to prevent...

It's What You Signed Up For

My husband was told the same thing. After a few years of nonsense like this, he ended up quitting because (Surprise!), he did not sign up for that.

feeling like a failure

I just want to reiterate that you are NOT a failure for leaving teaching and moving on. I honestly think it's the system that has failed and has turned off many people, including me.

Let us know...

fertility testing

Thank you all so much for the feedback. I understand that the doctors would want a thorough work up, hence all of those STD tests. Essentially, I just want to know where I stand. My husband and I...

fertility testing

I got off the BC pill in early July and, because of my age, I got some fertility tests done. The fertility doctor wanted to do all kinds of blood tests that I feel are unnecessary like HIV and...

carpet cleaning service

My cats are nasty, so I need to get my carpet cleaned. Do the cleaners typically use my water or do they supply their own? Thanks!

p.s. Any general carpet cleaner tips are welcomed as well. :)

Tuesday (the service dog)

Tuesday was a service dog who assisted a veteran and the two books were about their experiences together. I read both and was just sad to hear of Tuesday's passing.

I don't know if any of you have read "Until Tuesday" or "Tuesday's Promise", but Tuesday passed away last night. It is such sad news. He was loved though!

blood donation

I'm confused. If you put it off, won't you be past the required 56 days between donations? I've never given blood before, so I don't know how this works.

I am a school psych and I probably did more counseling at the high school level than the school counselor did. Granted, I also did a ton of SPED assessments, but the counselors were often too swamped...
