That's too bad

I hate it when trees fall. It's scary and sad, too. When Isabel blew through our area, we lost five trees just in our yard. Only three of them hit the house, and luckily, none of them did a whole...

If you live in New York

never put on your blinker. If you do, that signals the person in the other lane to speed up and close the gap so you can't get over. :D

Where did I see this?

Was it on here, or somewhere else?

1. School decides how many kids can be in the bathroom at once.
2. Hang that number of hooks outside each bathroom
3. Create a paper (one time use) bathroom...

When I went to my aunt's funeral

in North Carolina, they had a potluck afterward. There were at least 5 different sweet potato casseroles. My favorite had glazed pecans on top. No recipe. But still memorable ten years later.

Sweet Potato fries

Can be cooked in the air fryer for a low fat option.

And I've seen lots of videos

where people are yelling at people who aren't wearing masks, instead of just avoiding them. I wouldn't want to be a walking target for jerks to yell at. Nor would I think it wise to try to get...

I haven't heard, as yet

and since I'm on several elementary library facebook groups, I'm pretty sure I would have.

It might be a Ukraine thing

So, over the course of the last three years, my husband has bought several things from the Ukraine through e-bay. He's also bought build-it-yourself 3D printer from the Ukraine as well. Every time...

Good luck with

the cataract surgery. To tell the truth, it was the easiest, least painful surgery I ever had. But be prepared for the eye drops. There will be about a million of them.

Some people

wear dry clean only clothes to school (not me!) and think that they don't want to expose those clothes to potential viruses. They believe that scrubs can be kept cleaner, and that you woudn't have...

Two shortcuts

That's a nine page list, so two shortcuts.

1. One of the manufacturers is Greenbrier International. That's Dollar Tree. So if you bought hand sanitizer from Dollar Tree, I'd check the sanitizer...

If I am outside

six feet away from anyone but my husband, why would I wear a mask?

I don't hang around with friends, so there's very little danger I might have COVID19. And if I thought I had been exposed to...

They were certainly selfish

but on the other hand, all of those attending that service put themselves at risk.

I love a good tomato sandwich

It's the one thing I think tastes particularly scrumptious with Miracle Whip.

When I was pregnant with my first, I had a thing for corn tortillas stuffed with cheese and fresh tomatoes, toasted on...

We were supposed to

go from Washington, DC to Dublin. I don't think Aer Lingus is flying out of DC, and hasn't been for awhile.

Airline cancellations

So, we had to cancel our Ireland trip due to COVID, and we got a travel voucher for future travel. I would prefer to get a refund of our ticket in full. I am pretty sure there was no flight between...

Thank goodness for AC

Also under an excessive heat warning here. It was 80 degrees here at 6:00 am. The sun had barely risen. I went out and did about a half hour's worth of yard work. I'm done for the week. I won't...

I'd be tempted to

go with Frixion erasable pens or markers. Mechanical pencils are just not legible. The kids have to write lightly or they break the lead. Plus, the playing with the lead. Oh my! One pen would...

I think

it's not just air in there, its a substance that stops the leak in your tire as well. We found that out on our car, which when we used the fix-a-flat, we ruined the tire sensor, and it was the most...

I'm not sure you need documentation

You're the consumer here. If you don't want to be a medical facility where office workers are not wearing masks and not social distancing, that is your right. I would write a letter expressing your...

I ordered mine

on Wednesday night and had them Thursday by noon. I think my daughter (who told me about them) waited just a few days. She thinks 4-5 days.

There are 8407 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Nueces County. 85 cases under two years of age is 1% of all coronavirus cases in that county since March.

The population of that county is...
