Have teachers and families donate old magazines and newspapers to use for collaging.
Smocks (you can use large old t-shirts) are useful.

As a substitute with a cert. in art education, working on a cert. in severe/multiple disabilities, I'm always surprised when I come into an art classroom where the needs of the disabled are not met....
