Just retired last year after 40 years...and I had the same feelings as you do now. It is such a joy to see what's coming down the pike and knowing you don't have to worry about it next year (grin!)...

I loved my private school for almost 35 of the 40 years I taught there. It was a truly special place. We had high standards for both behavior and for learning, and almost every kid, no matter what...

I retired this past June, but for over 40 years, I used to do one HW score per day (so when we had a "regular" schedule of five class meetings per week, there were five HW grades per week...then we...

I just looked it up on Amazon...

...and while I agree that the ideas (some of them, anyway) might be good for anyone, not just teachers, doing it as an "assignment" given by admin means just another bunch of work that we don't have...

So happy for you...

I was where you are last year at this time!
I found a count-down calendar online, printed it, and crossed out each day (especially deep cross out marks on the days that admin brought up something...

I think it's just part of what is called "polite conversation," which I feel is necessary for helping people get along in a social or work environment. I always ask, and am prepared to listen, and...

It got better for me...

My hubby and I both retired this past June, so I had the whole summer to sort of "break in" my retirement. I think that really helped. When the school year started in August, I felt, and still...

I don't...

But since both -2X/3 + 13/15 and (-10X +13)/15 are equal in value, I usually...

We've had to deal with a huge plumbing issue at my dad's house...since Monday! Still dealing with it today. If we were still working (we retired this past June) we'd have been in real trouble taking...
