I use a homemade glass cleaner

that's half white vinegar and half rubbing alcohol to spray counter tops and everything else in the kitchen. It destroys the trail the ants leave so their buddies can't follow.

I had this problem several years ago and treated it with Vick's. It was summer and I swam almost every day. I often wondered if the pool chemicals helped get rid of the fungus.

I donated much of my things that I didn't give away or requested by fellow teachers. I kept a few things like special picture books or books autographed by authors. Those are now going to a nephew...

I remember

listening to an interview on NPR with the author. It sounded very good and if I remember correctly, some of the story was personal. I forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder!
