Mixed feelings

Class projects

Children read and research a topic and then write their own informational book using examples of text features. We also did a biography museum. Children did a timeline of their person, wrote a report...

Getting to know the teacher

I do a "guess the covered word" story about myself. My students love guessing and it helps me begin to teach and/or reinforce word strategies for reading. I teach 2nd grade.

Read 3D & Dibels

We began using it in Jan. of this past year. Gives great info on students but it is very time consuming. As with anything new it takes time to adjust to and feel confident. Good luck.
