I have had really good luck with the Xacto School Pro. It is noisy, but my last one survived four years! I have also heard good things about iPoint pencil sharpeners. I don't have any personal...

I would definitely keep the binder. If your students are anything like mine, they need every organizational tool they can get! I don't know that I would copy pages for them to use instead of the...

It helped me...

I saw a chiropractor who specialized in maternity care during my last two pregnancies. I was skeptical at first, but nearly all of my aches and pains were gone after a visit or two. Plus, going in...

That is so cool! Thanks for sharing. I would have never even thought about using my iPhone to catalog my books. Unfortunately, I spent a huge chunk of time typing the titles and authors already....

My Resolution...

My resolution is to manage my time more effectively. I tend to socialize during my planning period, and I end up dragging things home. I would really like to keep my work and home lives separate this...

So cute!

Your stool looks great! I really like the little bows on the legs. Adorable! I have a stool that has been in my garage awaiting a new paint job all summer! Maybe I'll work on it this weekend!

Baby

I was 25 when I had my first child. I'm 30 now, and I have a total of three. I LOVE our family, but there are many times DH and I look at each other and wonder why we didn't wait a little longer. It...

Good Idea!

I have done this before for worksheets, but I used the wet erase overhead pens. For some reason, I never thought about using dry erase markers. I also like the idea of the kids keeping them in their...

Depends on the grade...

I think it depends on the grade you teach. If you teach upper elementary, then you probably could keep everything in a file folder. However, K-2 teachers tend to have more "stuff" that go with...

If I were her, I wouldn't continue to argue about it. I would accept the money, and use it toward an incredible gift for the bride and groom. Some people won't take no for an answer, so you have to...

My Experience

I taught at a "rougher" middle school for five years, and I highly recommend reading "A Framework for Understanding Poverty" by Ruby Payne. I have to say, it is probably the most useful book I have...

My order came today! I only waited three days for it to arrive! I got a desk calendar and four Filetastics. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with four, but they were too cute to resist at $5 each....

I like the game theme. It's something different, and you could have fun making a lot of your own things. Plus, you can find lots of old games at Goodwill or garage sales to use around the room. I've...

A teacher at my school had a similar idea. She hung the shirts on a string with clothespins and added the caption, "Look Who's Hanging Out in Our Class!"
