Question

I leave my laptop plugged in when I have put it in stand by mode. I usually leave it like that. Much faster to get going the next time. Is that bad on the battery too?

Tony Stewart

I am so sad! And of all tracks to have to sit out, a road course. I guess last year was Junior's turn and this year it is Tony's. Sure messes up the Chase standings. Oh, dang! This is so not...

Two ideas

We had the same directive a few years ago. We had about 10-15 people on lunch at the same time though. So another teacher I eat lunch with asked the principal if she could keep her microwave in her...

Sounds strange but so good

Throw the left over pork roast in your food processor to chop it up. Then mix it with your usual stuff like you would for ham salad...eggs, onions, pickles, mayo. Long time family favorite sandwich.

GMC Terrain

I love my Terrain! We didn't have much snow since I got it, so I do not know about how it handles. I will say that my favorite thing is the fact that the back seat is adjustable. I pushed mine all...

Friends game

One thing I do on the first day is to play a game from Friends. I have them take out a piece of paper and number it 1-25. I then set the timer for 6 minutes. They have to write down all 50 states...

Confused

I admit that I have lived a sheltered life, but I have never heard of making scalloped potatoes without cooked potatoes. So yes! It would definitely be quicker and easier for the potluck!

Greek yogurt

Personally I think Greek yogurt tastes better. I can not eat regular yogurt because it has a twang to it. I really like the black cherry or cherry pomagranate (spelling?) in the Greek yogurt. If...

Wearing white

Yes! People notice others wearing white and all of the things you mentioned as well. I know I do. I notice the heavier, young girls I see at school wearing t-shirts so tight you can see their...

Wearing white

I do not wear white shoes, pants, or skirts before Memorial Day or after Labor Day. White shirts have never been a part of this. While I don't own a white purse or white jacket/blazer, those also...

Shortening

I am sorry I can't answer your question, but I am hung up on the fact that you have not had shortening in the house. How is that possible? Is it wrong that I am fascinated by this concept? Oh...

sad songs

The two that get me crying every time remind me of my dad. Amazing Grace was sung at my dad's funeral. Justin Moore's If heaven Wasn't So Far Away makes me cry every time too. There is also Steve...

Muffin tins

I remember learning that too. However, I think I use to just put water in one hole. I think it was suppose to keep the muffins/cupcakes moist. Obviously I haven't done this in a few years. Either...

Autism

I think it would ease your mind to have your dd tested. However, if the lack of speaking is the only symptom, I do not think she has autism. I think that only because it sounds a lot like me. I...

Christopher's parents

I believe Christopher's dad was a drug dealer. He was killed in a drug deal. Kristin was pushed in the Ewing pool and died. JR was thought to have pushed her, but the coroner said Krisitin was...

Organization

I am a bit OCD, so please keep that in mind.

First I have stacking trays where each period turns in assignments.

To return after grading, I don't want to waste class time so I have hanging...

GMC Terrain

I have had my Terrain for a year now. I love it! <!--lovestruck--> The back seat moves so if you have people in the back seat, they can have more than enough leg room. If you don't have any...

I have, in the past, used pencil on a seating chart for each class. However, this year I am going to put the small post-it notes in a file folder for each class. Very easy to move people. I can...

Ncss

NCSS has an annual conference that is amazing. This year it will be in Seattle in mid-November. I highly recommend it.

As far as the StoryPath method, it looks great. Thanks for the info!

Thank you so much for the adorable calendars. I used them last year too. One note, however. The May calendar has two 4s and 18 (I believe it is) is missing. Didn't notice until I started writing...

Plus Sizes

Most of my clothes are from CJ Banks, Coldwater Creek, and Kohl's. I never pay full price though. I watch for sales and use the store's credit card to earn gift certificates and bonus coupons.
