I can email, post to Google Classroom or browse the Internet but I...

All of it may change in the next few days

if the IDEA waiver occurs.

I am so torn. I do not want anything to jeopardize the IDEA rights of our students but we cannot work with the students under these conditions. So, to me, ideally,...

I love my students and give it my all to the best of my abilities most of the time. But I cannot truthfully say that I miss them. This is a weird time. My focus is splintered a 100 different ways...

Same story here - the Spring Break

We do not get a Spring Break but otherwise, the timelines are the same.

Friday -we were still hearing the school would continue as is.
Monday afternoon -we were told to prepare packets covering...

I think we are doing it exactly right!

We sent out items and ideas to families with the intention to maintain and/or reinforce current content mastery at all levels. We have no expectations beyond that.

We will not collect or grade...

eLearning, tele-lessons, virtual learning, home-based learning, online learning, remote learning, distance learning--maybe a couple others too.

My thoughts

While I do think tech and teaching will be more prominent in the future of education, it cannot happen overnight just due to this circumstance. It may become the next best practice to know, but, like...

I am a FT SpEd teacher. In my school, we only have paras for students who need 1:1 assistance. Only preschool has classroom paras on a regular basis.

about the size of a big 3 hole punch. I can do the little books and journals very easily.

I can't tell you exactly how much it would cost as I found this one in a thrift store for $2.
