I've done both and it's interesting that they don't entirely agree on my DNA results. 23andme has me at 50.5% British & Irish, 19.6% French & German, and then smaller percentages for other areas....

Bare bones likely means they were afraid and overly cautious - what a statement about our country today.
My school seems to be very different from many others. We are encouraged to bring up recent...

What's the concern?

I don't have a subscription to that site, so I'm curious what's in the story that you're not thrilled about.

Get to know her 1:1?

I wonder if being virtual is contributing to this problem. We used to get to know each other through small conversations in the hallway, the faculty room, and popping into each other's classrooms but...

This isn't good for students

Honestly, until there are real consequences imposed at the administrative level this year will instill some very bad habits and expectations in many students. If the administration of a school was to...

Cats have no sense of boundaries. Mine plopped down on top of my head to sleep last night. She just laid down right over my head. And to think that I'd been complaining about her being a pillow...

Somewhat understandable

I think the fact that she's in her mid-20s is important. I hosted showers for my daughters because they were also in their 20s and their friends just couldn't afford any extra party. Even simple...

Temperature blanket

A local news meteorologist, Sue Serio, did this all year in 2020. The final project looked great.

And apparently there's a service called 'fubo TV' that is being...

Are any of the books listed so far sci-fi? Esp. time travel? Or kinda' 'out-there'? I'm constantly searching for my next book but regular fiction about ordinary people isn't really my cup of tea, so...

It's OK

Honestly, we are all making big and little decisions on a daily basis in a situation that we never thought we'd experience. Some decisions are clearly bad - being one of those people that smirks in a...

Hot Cocoa Bombs

They are big! There's no way I can drink it in one sitting. They also cost about $7 each, making them more expensive than a visit to Starbucks. So enjoy it as the treat it is and be ready to...
