Toenail Bruise

If it truly is a bruise, it will have to grow off - so that will take a long time. I'm sure the nail people have seen worse. Hope it heals quickly!

Bruising

If you take a lot of ibuprofen (Advil or Motrin), you will bruise more easily. Also, if you up your Vit C, they bruising goes away quicker!

Not sure about adults, but...

...when my DD7 had a tooth pulled, they put in a spacer (they called it a "princess ring") to hold the space open - maybe they do the same with adults?
