Unemployment question

I have not called unemployment as it is hard to get in. I was turned down on line, as I did not have enough hours however, I thought if you are laid off due to covid that the "Cares Act" covers us....

holiday pay

Last paycheck before Christmas was middle of December.

Check after holidays last week of January. I had $7.00 in my checking account.
That is typical from paying bills etc during the holidays.

Sub advice

I only sub for high school, so these are things I do:

Always collect work at end of period. Even if teacher does not say to do it, the kids are on track.

The other issue is, that some of these students have little parental control. The kids run their house. When a teacher tries to discipline, the student pushes back hard.
