We are just finishing

The Phanton Tollbooth and my class has loved trying to figure out all the double meanings. There's great crafting elements and enough humor to hold their attention.

I didn't use a rubric

but the kids did a pretty good job without one. I started by reading aloud Pilkey's Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving, then we created disguises for our mini turkeys (I printed four to a page)......

We watched the Taylor Swift webcast last week and it was great! She was incredibly well spoken and my fifth graders were glued to our smart board. Can't wait for the Plimoth one!

Can't live without mine...

so I actually have 2! I buy the sheets from abcdistributing.com. They are a bit thinner but you get 100 sheets- 3 sizes for only about $20! Enjoy yours!

Go to vistaprint.com and check it out. They have postcards, business cards, banners, pens, etc... that you can personalize for your classroom. I am addicted to them. I get at least 5 emails a week...

Basically my district asks us to take our grade level and multiply by ten... so 4 x 10 = 40 minutes of homework per night.
