Kids LOVE it!

I teach in a fairly affluent area. My students have more pencils, pens, markers, etc...than anyone - and therefore, they do not put much value on these items. They lose them, drop them, throw them...

Google it - you will find a ton of stuff on Pintrist.
Readbox for 6th grade - eh -not sure if I would bother.
Takes up a lot of space - they'd probably enjoy a few pillows to sit on.

Post it CHART PAPER

In our district we teach TC Readers/Writers Workshop and I find Post-It Chart Paper essential. This way I can easily stick the chart paper around the room! I also ask that rather than a "pencil box"...

Finding the Main Idea - formal observation

I teach sixth grade and am getting formally observed tomorrow.
I would like to teach a lesson on main idea - preferably Workshop Model.
Any ideas????
