Division tips

Partial Quotients

I found partial quotients made a lot more sense to my students. Students who had difficulty with their times tables could still do the work.

Land and Water

For the water to land ratio I've used an inflatable globe. Look at the globe and point out the oceans and continents. Toss the globe to 10 students and record if their right thumb is touching land...

Math Nutrition

I stumbled on this today. It's called the My Pyramid Blast Off Game. It's by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. The student inputs name, sex and age and then has to plan meals for a day.
