I understand, but in my house I am convinced the entire neighborhood knows when I lay down for a nap because that’s when all the lawnmowers start up and the dogs get locked out of their houses.

Around 10 minutes. I would suggested checking the sealing ring and if you have one of those cups that sticks on the outside. Could be steam is leaking out.
