My niece was quarantined for 14 days, but I was surprised that she did not have to get tested in order to be released, especially since her son tested positive a few days after she did.

Apparently, most people have never been

to a store where the Amish shop. During canning season, it is common to see them at the cash register with an ENTIRE CART holding nothing but sugar, another one full of flour, another one full of...

That looks great.

I have such a hard time counting calories. Wish I could afford to pay someone to prepare meals for me!

I live with a farmer.

I was raised in rural poverty.

I have common sense.

I do not understand why anyone in their right minds is not already fully stocked up on food and other essentials. I buy garbage bags and...

We used to do it in school as part of

science class, I think in 9th or 10th grade biology. Mine is B+. I am always surprised when people do not know their blood type.

stella.ivey, I can't wait.

The way public health works here, if one is named as a contact by someone who tested positive, health department calls and tells you to get tested and quarantine for 14 days, regardless of whether...

One step away from COVID again!

My quilting friend's sister tested positive for COVID. I had not been around her, but dropped off a quilt for her to do the binding on Friday. She had seen her sister that Tuesday. I had my mask on...

I always heard that joke this way:

If you have a moth ball in one hand and a moth ball in the other hand, what do you have?

A really big moth! <!--giggle-->:D:)

Oh, no. I feel so badly for all of you in

heavily-populated areas. Things are tightening down here in NY, too, but hardly any people. Although we are getting a lot of new cases per day. More in the past week than in the entire month of...

It's the American way. Always has been.

This is why we need labor unions and labor law. This is why the outgoing administration has been doing their best to bust unions and repeal laws that help the poor, underemployed, and specifically,...

When my son visited from CA, he and his GF

were shocked that I have no window coverings on any of the windows facing my back yard (kitchen, spare bedroom, bathroom). Since I moved in, several well-meaning folks have gifted me curtains. Ha...

I am no help because I never use

patterns. I would probably cut squares, frame each one in a solid, perhaps different color solids, and then have another print that picks up some of the colors in the duck cloth to join the...

Perhaps you need a different mask?

I had to try several styles before I found a couple that seriously do not bother me. But the others still do. Everyone's anatomy is different, plus some fibers are more irritating, perhaps even...

Never knew this until last night, when

my sweetie cooked a chicken recipe that involved marinating in a concoction of beer, mustard, worcestershire sauce, and god knows what else, but whatever ingredients were involved, they definitely do...

New Glasses are awful -

But I think I figured out why. I kept feeling nauseous even if I only had them on for five minutes. Could not keep them on in grocery store, cause they made me feel dizzy when walking. I know,...

Don't forget all those fake nurses who

made YouTube videos about how doctors were paid $32,000 more to hook someone up to a ventilator versus just giving oxygen. Don't forget that a boatload of people (who supported a certain losing...

I helped raise a friend of my daughter's, to such an extent that she calls me mom and I am her kids' grandma. She is Black, was tortured by the juvi system for six years, yet still managed to...

Excellent point.

My daughter is an SLP and I believe she agrees with this viewpoint.

If you are like most mothers, you have wished

it could be you instead of your DD suffering through this. I know that feeling. So difficult to watch our children suffer. I hope her outcome is the best possible.

what I meant, i.e., that I feel we now have elected leaders who at least have the goal of delivering "liberty and justice for all." These past four years have been a nightmare of injustice on so...
