Hi! I'll attach a template that has worked for 5th and 6th graders. There are many available. If you go through Scholastic.com there are some other handouts, examples, etc.

I agree with PP that 100 minutes is long enough to do all. We don't use a textbook. Our pacing follows curriculum...

(the company www.reallygoodstuff.com) has a Writing Modes Journal that I used with 5th graders. I recommend using this as a guide, but you will definitely need some graphic organizers too.
