Check out Zunal web quests. It used to be free, but Iím not sure if it still is. You can search for an existing web quest, make a copy and then tweak it to fit your needs.

I would NOT leave a 9 year old home alone, especially for 3 hours! It seems to me, children need just as much supervision as they get older as when they are young. I think you made the right move.

Yeah!
