I am also looking into the dysgraphia as "Passerby" mentioned. I am almost positive that that is one of the issues that the OT had mentioned/suggested we look into as well.

As needmyjob pointed out, you preassign percentage values for homework, quizzes, chapter assessment.etc, but it should also be something that is being used as a grade level as she also pointed out....

My son is passing his content and has even mastered end of the year benchmarks in reading levels and sight words. He is more of a verbal child to say the least....

We are in the same boat then...

I have a similar situation...been in a title 1 district for 9 yrs and also just moved to an affluent school. I have decded that my instruction will speak volumes...in the meantime, stand your ground....
