Since you are sure you would be fine financially, I would go for it. Do not forget to consider medical insurance as part of that.

People not in education don't get it...

Even my own mother did not get it. She seemed to think I was getting paid this fantastic salary (it looked great on paper until you factored in the taxes, cost of living and medical premium sharing)....
