I teach in Alberta, and I am not a huge fan of the social recources. My first unit is on belonging...to groups, families, etc. I really want to make a good program...any ideas?

I complied a list last year of about 17 pages of documents for the smartboard...for grade 2, but ranging in ability. I am moving grades this year, and need to go through the list to modify and check...

I love math literature!

I have a whole bunch that I can share...but the one that I love:

My Little Sister Ate One Hare - after that we make a concrete graph of all the animals little sister ate...and then transfer it...

I don't read them to my kids. We have plenty of opportunity to talk about words that are not nice to say! :) My fear is that if I read them to the kids, and skip over words or inappropriate parts...
