I just have my read alouds on a shelf behind my desk. After reading them to students, they go into a basket that all kids can access. These are my most read books in the classroom.

I never did Donor's Choose, but in my district we've had to leave things acquired through grants in the classroom, even when moving to another school within the district.

It's frustrating when...

Glass container/lid storage

I have my glass containers stacked and I kept one of the old, plastic containers to store the lids. I have it nestled in the drawer next to the glass containers. The containers of different sizes...

It's hard to gauge the effect, in my opinion. I mean, I'm not sure anyone would be particularly bothered if I didn't have them. But I do have all my lights covered.

My P bought them for me and...

I've always read picture books aloud and then put them in a basket for the kids to access. I try to do a mix of fiction and non-fiction, and I read several per week. Those end up being the most read...

"Homey" classroom

Due to strict fire regulations where I teach, I can't do any of the 'homey' ideas others suggested.

However, I think that, just like in your home, neatness makes a big impact. I know it's not an...
