I think it takes a whole lot of moxy

to try to engage an experienced, professional band for FREE. There is no end to some people's disrespect.

Who raises people like this?

I am so impressed with all of you

Jigsaw puzzles just are not a skill I have EVER possessed. I can't do even the simplest puzzles. My inlaws are always doing these, and I have sat down with the family several times before--and I...

OMG this happened to us once

about 30 years ago. It was HORRIBLE. The dog got in and got all over the furniture and the carpet. Someone brought us a product called Odor Mute. (I don't know if this particular name brand is...

From your posts, I KNOW you're good

I also know you're good because you fought tooth and nail to save the innocent hamster.

Being in an abusive situation like that makes your "fight or flight" kick in. You were defending yourself...

All of these are lovely, perfect suggestions

As long as you're acting with love and kindness, you will never mess up.

No one ever asks me for a recipe

because I don't cook. Really. I cook maybe five or six times a year, and nothing complicated or fancy, believe me. So I never get asked for a recipe, but to be fair, I also never ask for one lol.

Grape Nuts are okay

I also learned to eat them with my grandmother, who was probably eating them for the fiber. (Now that I'm 67, I've figured out a thing or two lol). The thing that always drove me nuts about this...

I love cinnamon toast

I either toast the bread, butter it, and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, or if I can find it, I like cinnamon butter a whole lot.

No judgment, people

I not only think in words, I address myself in the second person when thinking, particularly if I'm thinking aloud, which I do a lot. I seem better able to find solutions and find perspective when I...

I'm 67, so I get it

It's a little disconcerting to be asked these things, but it's a good thing. Hopefully, this identifies some seniors who need help they aren't getting. I feel fortunate that for me it's "so far, so...

I agree with the mouth guard

That shooting pain you feel could be TMJ pain, which happens with clenching and grinding. This is a dental thing. I would see my dentist before I saw another MD.

Oh my

This is an awful lot for your mom, losing her son and then all this really serious medical stuff. Does she have an ostomy now?

And you--losing your brother is hard. I've lost two. I'm sorry for...

We used to do everything together

and it was fun. Over the past several months, however, my husband has been having really severe emotional issues and he cannot go a lot of places anymore or do a lot of things. I am retired now and...

You are wonderful

and your senior dog is very, very lucky.

We've raised a lot of animals and with dogs, it seems like when they are no longer able to control their bladder that is usually the end. Like you, I...

So I've had PF twice in my life

First time was in my 40s and it really hurt when I got up in the mornings. I switched to wearing nothing but really good shoes all the time. No flip-flops, no barefoot--both of those are bad for PF...

I guess it's a good thing I retired

because I am not keeping up so well with things lol. I had to google "What is a bitmoji?" to even know what you guys were talking about.

I would not have done this because if there was one thing...

I kind of think it's on her

but she probably thinks you should have said something at the time. Maybe say that to her and offer to pay half?

And if it made your relationship weird, then I would find another hairdresser. ...

Before I retired

I got to go on a field trip every year to New York for a week, with 8th grade Humanities students. During that week, we got to see two Broadway shows and every year Come From Away was one of them. ...

LOL Catlove

I wish I could have gotten it to paste. Of all the strange things, it's a medieval clothing site! And it's for men, women, and children! You can be any medieval character you like. And they even...
