Yeah, I am not sure if our RLPs will change if/when we do remote learning again. The big thing was to make sure we offered parents the option so they could not come back and sue later.

Our special...

Yeah, that hybrid model is what I fear. What about student privacy? :)

We did remote learning plans this spring and were actually encouraged to make goals as vague as possible and to be very...

Covid and moving

Several housing complexes in my area and where I teach have shut down and evicted people in the past few months.

Before Covid we got a lot of people leaving larger areas in search of family and/or...

I really enjoyed it.

Following the story was not too hard, but I have read most of the book it was based on.

I was also pleasantly surprised to recognize many of the actors - Daveed Diggs,...

Low participation

The number of people who submitted feedback is extremely low. That school district has over 200,000 students, but only 7,000 students and 15,000 parents submitted feedback.

Staff participation was...

It took my Mom a while to get the hang of Face Time.

Password management and safety would be good.

Using grocery and restaurant delivery apps.

Here locally all the hospitals and doctor...

Working from home

My brother works with international shipping stuff.

He has been working at home since the end of February. They are officially still at home until the end of August, but are probably going to be...

Ashley Nell Tipton

I bought a couple of masks from this designer.

She apparently won Project Runway and is plus sized.

The are not tight, are easy to adjust and she has some cute designs.

Opal you could be describing my class.

Also throw in that the parents were over having the kids at home by April.

Sped students that should stay home

A comment in a thread below is making me wonder.

Does anyone else feel like we will have to keep kids home who absolutely cannot social distance?

Does least restrictive environment really trump...

My state's vague guidelines include PPE for staff that assists in feeding and changing. I am guessing that would be a face shield.

They hand-bread and fresh-fry their chicken tenders.

But, I bet you did not want to know that!

Alternatives to Tervis cups?

Looking to replace my Tervis cups.

Would prefer something not plastic, but not averse to plastic. I'm thinking brands like Contigo, Yeti or generic versions.

It would need to fit in my cup...

Your vent is similar to mine.

The house across the street was abandoned at the end of March and they left the kids's toys, bikes and play equipment in the yard. It makes me said to see that as the...

Online-only option?

For those of you that officially have the online option, did the state guidelines suggest that or did your district?

Our state just issued guidelines and recommended the districts have in-person...

I like the layout of that loft.

It is open, but not too open and they have a lot of storage.

Like GraceKrispy, I would let my inner minimalist fly in there and go with just the essentials.

Totally agree about insurance increasing the divide, which is why only our magnet school has official 1:1. We are a district of around 12-16,000 students.

I believe insurance is offered, but...

Canvas vs SeeSaw

You can link to SeeSaw within Canvas.

That is a work around we are doing since the district is requiring everyone to use the canvas platform.

During summer school, I have my Canvas class set up...
