Technology Element

Perhaps you could incorporate technology in some way. Could they pair up and do a powerpoint, Tellit, or Gabit. There are a multitude of ways they could present.

Schools Then and Now

I'm trying to find a short clip or video for schools then and now.... I've searched but have been unsuccessful. Does anyone have one? Or do you have a great lesson you use?

Everyone has given you such wonderful advice. If you are short on ice breakers or for the first few days let us know, I have several and I'm sure others do also.

Leaving 1st...

after 12 years and going to 3rd. I taught 5th grade 14 years ago. I'm a bit anxious, but I know all will be fine! A new experience is always great! Good luck!

New to 3rd!

I am being moved from 1st to 3rd after 12 years in 1st. I haven't taught a testing grade in 13 years! I am frightened to death, yet very excited. I will need lots of support from you guys. Thanks

It stand for capitalization, uauage, punctuation and spelling. I start with capitalization and go from their with my kids. I go over it almost daily so that they begin checking for this in all...
