I think it's, "And there ain't no nothing we can't love each other through."

Young Sheldon

I will definitely have to check that out. I basically have Young Sheldon in my class this year, right down to the obsession with trains. One morning, he attempted to start a conversation with me by...

Like amiga13, I recognize those terms from Law & Order-type shows on TV. I'm am sorry that your knowledge is no longer limited to the same simple sources. <!--heart-->

Sing-Along

I still haven't seen La La Land, but I've been trying to make it to a Sound of Music sing-along for years!

Time Change

The time change usually doesn't have a major effect on me past the first day. I'm convinced it's because I'm just permanently exhausted, regardless of what time it is! LOL

But that first day -...

I love seeing former students too! It's so nice to reconnect with them and hear how they are doing. I have a former student whose parents live in my neighborhood. He's now out of college and in...

Syllables

I agree with word girl and with you. Syllables ending in y are open because they end in a long vowel sound. I think that the "say its name" description is the root of the problem. If you use the...

Girls' Trip

I would agree with the suggestions of Charleston and Savannah - historic, beautiful, and full of antiques. I'm more familiar with Charleston, so I'll add that it has wonderful restaurants too. It's...

Portland Snow

I have a brother in Portland, and his kids are loving the snow. His two oldest boys built a snow replica of Fenway Park in their front yard! (We're New Englanders.) My brother owns a landscaping...

Maybe some sort of bingo card? Depending on the age of the students, you could have some of the boxes say things like:

Grease

I typically pour grease into left-over plastic containers from sour cream or yogurt. I let it cool while I'm eating dinner, so I've never had any trouble with the plastic melting. It usually takes...

Root Touch-Up Kit

Another vote for the root touch-up kits here! I get my hair colored at the salon every 2-3 months and use the kits in between every 4 weeks or so. My hair grows quickly, but I just can't do it more...

Classroom Theme

I don't really do themes, but I tend to have a lot of blue in my room. With my new classroom rug, I've noticed that I have a fair number of polka dots - sort of an accidental theme! LOL

Sleep Times

Like PPs, I tend to get into the habit of staying up too late in the summer. I don't sleep all that late (usually until 7:30 or 8:00 AM), but it's still later that I need to get up for work. I...
