The person has to apply...

We hung a sheet/curtain over three sides of a rectangle table with a Kinder mat, a pillow and a comfort toy in there. ...

What I've done in the past

Go to a thrift store and get an office chair.

Sit in several and roll them all around while sitting upright. Pick the one you like best.

Then make sure that back is removable. (Just loosen...

With this population, you probably also cover life skills, communication skills, social skills and a litany of others--movies are perfect for those lessons. Even in the case of Job skills--could you...

My District does BTSN the Tuesday night before the first day on Thursday. It works out well as it forces everyone to have their rooms ready a day ahead. That Wednesday I work on curriculum and...

I'm in the "Torn" category

I love my job and cannot imagine doing another job-- BUT, that said, if I could win the lottery or some similar thing, I would HAVE to consider leaving.

I wouldn't even need BIG money... If I...

I do more of a color theme than a true theme

but I think either one of those has a lot of potential. Lots of fun, bright colors and such.

My only word of warning would be to be aware of the use of clowns. Though they are supposed to be fun...

The most important thing is to be flexible

I too am the self contained EBD teacher at my school. Like a PP, I have some that are with me all day (truly SC) and some that move in between me and the other SpEd teachers and maybe 1 or 2 gen ed...

PEPteach is on the right track...

When I interviewed for the MS or HS SpEd, there were a lot of "what if" scenarios. What if Johnny comes in a bad mood and you have a lesson you have to front load for a gen ed class, what if you...

I really, really struggled for a long time with my machine and mask. I too tried several masks before choosing the nasal type. I still toss and turn all night but I sleep better overall.

I would...

8 hour drive one way ..

I drove up the night before, stayed in a hotel, drove home after. I did not get the job.

BUT they shared my name with a neighboring district and I got that job without another interview.

Thanks so much for the heads up...

I went by today and it was exactly as described. I got several really nice things-border sets and large packs of stuff for only $14.00--would have been over $75 original price.

Mine also had...

the kids are required to do so many hours of "tutoring" or other approved types of community service for at least two years. If all of the criteria is met, the HS students can get tuition assistance...

Are they gambling? is money or other bets involved?
Are they disturbing others?

If there are quiet,...
