Ours is based on expereince with title I in the last 3 years, plus then looking at expereince in the district. In other words, someone who hasn't taught title I in thepast 3 years couldn't come bump...

Title I or district?

If you are going to be a Title I reading specialist (funded by title i funds) you will need to be sure you have an Oregon Reading endorsement to be highly qualified.

I like to use this book. The kids can easily figure out what David did in each picture, and having them identify their clues is easy.

Thanks, Bubbly. I like that idea better. I found some cute snowman shaped plastic bags at Walmart, too, and some chocolate dipped peppermint sticks for stirrers. The whole thing cost less than $10.

extra reading certification

In our state you need a reading endorsement to your teaching license, too. Must have extra coursework in reading and pass the test.
