I've noticed that a lot of young people around here are opting for an Uber or Lyft when they have been drinking. This may be an option if he feels that the situation calls for it.

I have one too. Although DH and I can see each other's schedule on our online and phone calendars, it is so much easier for me to keep track of it on a paper calendar. I color code like teachnkids....
