What are your thoughts about the units?

I use the reading and writing units of study for First.....and I DO LOVE THEM! Unfortunately, my district uses CKLA (Engage NY) for phonics. Please give me an honest review of the phonics program...

Help! I need to know in exactly which unit and which lesson, does Lucy introduce "book shopping" for students. I've been looking through the first book, "Good Habits" and I can't find it.

Reading Worskhop is great, but

will not help with the super basics of learning language skills:
Buy, The Next Step in Guided Reading.....it will tell you exactly what to to with Emergent Readers.
They need this!!!!!!!

I highly suggest you buy this book:

The Next Step In Guided Reading by Jan Richardson by scholastic
It is very teacher friendly.....and will answer all your questions
I used it last year and it changed my "Small Group" Life...ha...ha...
