2nd grade recess

Mine LOVED Legos! I don't know if that will work this year due to germs. I like the idea of them having their own baggy, but that could get expensive and they like the variety.

I started printing a copy of my grades every week. It was so much easier! I didn't have to write them down then input them in the computer. I sat at my computer, graded the tests, input them in...

I went into a room like that! It's definitely overwhelming. I got permission to put everything I didn't want in the hallway. I labeled it "free" and told everyone that in 1 week it was going in...

We've already been told that we have to test this year. Supposedly the state dept. (MS) won't allow us to not test 2 years in a row.

However, they did say our accountability may not count, so...

I remember wearing all of those at one time or another! Tabu was the one I used the most in high school. I think the others were middle school.

K Registration

How does your school do Kindergarten registration?

Do you give a little goody bag for the students? What is included?

Do you give a short assessment? Do you have a copy you don't mind...

song lyrics

This is so funny, because DH and I had this conversation before. Until he had Sirius radio in his truck, I didn't realize the words to some songs - meaning the titles even! For example, I thought...

Assessment at K Registration

Our K registration is next week, and IF we're allowed to do an assessment to see what each child knows prior to entering, I'd like to have a short one. Just something on paper that I can give the...

counting calories

That's wonderful! I think that's healthier anyway - it's a lifestyle change and not something short term that you won't stick to in the future. That tends to help the weight loss stay off. When...

I've enjoyed rewatching the Dick Van Dyke show at night lately, and he was great on it. I read somewhere that he was the director and wrote many of the episodes but then also ended up playing the...

No, I've never thought about doing this. Since the cup is my lid, and it's only used for detergent, I can't imagine it being "dirty". I'm also klutzy enough to knock the bottle off the shelf while...
