How many guided reading groups

I have a 50-60 block of time for guided reading. I am so bad with time management while in groups and usually on get to 2 groups instead of 3. Any suggestions?

I plan to use the word wall and weekly spelling words for word work. Once I get my nifty thrifty 50 wall going I will introduce some activities for that too.
