Texting parents

Clip to ScrapBook #15

I rarely give my phone number to parents. I did to the parents when I did homebound because they needed to call me to let me know to not come when their children were sick or had appointments. I have had a few others that I did give my number to that I knew would not take advantage. I have one parent that I gave my number to when I started the long term sub job in October. She is not one to take advantage. Another parent wants my number, but I told her that I check my emails frequently or she could call the school and leave a message and I would get that through my email. She writes notes every day that I answer. She is a really nice and caring woman, but lacks social graces at times and appears to have some type of learning disability. She rambles in her notes. I don't need rambling and frequent texts.
