I am fortunate to work in a school with supportive parents. I will not provide a snack to students. Never have and never will. I don't work so I can support someone else's family.

That said, when I was teaching 1st I had parents who would provide extra snack for kids who didn't have one. Otherwise, those students would go without. I know most of them were in school and had breakfast. They get lunch. Many of them take food home due to a grant. But, I am not buying for them.
