Clip to ScrapBook #1

The layout and idea for this card came from Connie Stewart's blog and video. Even though this was a basically simple card, it still took me about 90 minutes. I originally thought I'd use shades of gray but I couldn't find a light, medium, and dark that seemed to work together. Then I found the basic sentiments for inside and outside but needed to find something to put in the circle that didn't compete. Then I really needed a 1 1/8" circle punch or die but didn't have one.

I started with a white card base and a white layer cut with the largest die from MFT Rectangle STAX Set 1. This layer was popped up with strips of foam tape. The embossing folders used on the color pieces are Cuttlebug: Keyboard, Darice: Sheet Music, and Darice: Piano Notes. Simon Says Stamp: Inside and Out Sayings provided Always thinking of you and inside, Or nearly always; maybe 86.3% of always. The Hello circle stamp came from Simon Says Stamp: Sending Happy Thoughts set. Both circles were made with a 1 1/4" circle punch similar to this. The circle layer was also popped up. I added red, orange and yellow sequins.
