Clip to ScrapBook #6

I use google forms to make quizes from our curriculum aligned assessments. I like that they are self grading and I like that the kids can get feedback right when they finish rather than waiting for me to grade them. I also can assign differentiated assessments with them by making a standard assessment and then making a copy of it and adding pictorials or simplifying some of the wording for my EL's. I the google classroom you just make 2 assignments and check/uncheck the "assign to" to assign different assessments to different students. here is a sample of a differentiated assessment that I added pictorials to:

I also have really gotten into using kahoot and nearpod. Kahoot is creates online games that the class plays together in real time to study things here is an example that I have used

They have a ton of premade kahoots on many subjects. I also do grammar ones on Fridays if the class had a good week.

Nearpod has "virtual field trips" and units that have all kinds of different digital tools. Each usually has some reading passages and ends with an assessment question or two. Here is an example of a free one-I also have a few good paid ones that work well with my thematic units.
